The innovative company, De Sisti is partnering with the unique film project Sound of Kyoto, where they will be providing the latest technological advancements in LED lighting.

Sound of Kyoto is a contemporary audio-visual composition of Kyoto, Japan authored and directed by the renowned artist Marios Joannou Elia. Characteristic sounds of the city and their visual aesthetics, traditions, culture, architecture and technology are used as sources for the creation of this new composition in order to discover a musical cosmos. Representative music groups and numerous institutions of Kyoto will take part at the production phase, which will take place in autumn, during Kyoto’s spectacular foliage season.
De Sisti Lighting will be working closely with the cinematographer Kostis Nikolas, throughout all stages of production to color the musicians’ performances with their newly designed high-quality energy efficient lights. The performances will take place at important landmarks around the city as well as various hidden corners of the city.

Filming will begin in September and it will last for 3 months. This is the second project encapsulating this concept, with the first one being the award winning and internationally critically acclaimed film Sound of Vladivostok, made for the city of Vladivostok in Far East Russia.
